About

“The home is the haven. I just love to take a space and manifest it into a beautiful, peaceful environment.”   Karin Millette, Interior Designer

Karin Millette grew up camping and skiing and appreciating the natural harmony of the great outdoors, the changing of the seasons, the eternal kaleidoscope of color. This love of nature spawned her love of art.  After studying photography and the fine arts, she went abroad to see great masterpieces and architecture - both classic and modern – firsthand.

Following graduation from the University of Colorado at Boulder, she worked with her business partner, Charles Callaway, to develop and design the historic Oxford Hotel in Denver’s Lodo neighborhood. They went to art auctions and estate sales in France, selectively choosing the finest furniture and art pieces to enhance the boutique hotel’s historical character.

Karin moved to Vail in 1997 where she continued working in residential interior design. Then she procured her real estate brokers license in order to assist with pre-construction management of the exclusive Sebastian Resort, which included design elements and floor plans for 78 private club residences. Currently, Karin specializes in high-end investment opportunities for an international clientele who seek a custom home to remodel into a haven – an exquisitely furnished home with harmonious design.

“So much of interior design is about what feels comfortable, where it feels like the energy is stuck and how to make things simply flow,” she said.
